What is SmartSlaps™?
SmartSlaps™ is a Nevada-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit civic education program that helps students activate transparent, community-driven support through mascot-based stickers, QR learning, and real-world engagement.
Who can use SmartSlaps™?
SmartSlaps™ is built for schools, teachers, homeschool families, libraries, youth programs, and community safety partners such as fire departments, EMS, and law enforcement.
Can kids really lead this?
Yes — that’s the point. SmartSlaps™ is designed so kids can engage their community, explain the mission, and become ambassadors of civic ownership while adults choose whether to support.
Is this a fundraiser?
SmartSlaps™ is not a traditional product fundraiser. There are no product sales, prize tiers, or fundraising quotas. It is a civic engagement and community support platform built around voluntary, recipient-designated giving.

How money moves and what makes the system different.

Where do donations go?
Recipient-designated donations go to the selected public school, public library, or community safety recipient. SmartSlaps™ does not take a cut of recipient-designated funds.
Are donations tax-deductible?
SmartSlaps Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors should consult their tax advisor for guidance.
Do donors receive anything?
Donors receive a thank-you and donation receipt. SmartSlaps™ is not built around prizes or product incentives. The goal is direct community support and civic engagement.
What makes this different from typical school fundraising?
SmartSlaps™ operates as civic funding infrastructure, not a product fundraiser. No inventory. No selling. No quotas. Students activate engagement, and communities fund what matters.

How do schools get started?
Schools can request a SmartSlaps™ kit through the website. Once approved, they receive a starter kit with stickers, learning materials, and simple launch guidance.
Do homeschool families have their own version?
Yes. Homeschool families are part of the SmartSlaps™ vision and can request a family-sized version designed for smaller groups and flexible home learning.
Can fire, EMS, and police departments participate?
Yes. SmartSlaps™ is building community safety partnership tracks for first responders, including outreach materials connected to Reno the Rescue Dog, Fernley the Fire Dog, and Leo the Law Dog.
What does a SmartSlaps™ kit include?
Depending on the program type, kits may include mascot stickers, printed learning materials, launch guides, QR-linked pages, and community engagement tools.
