Why our family started SmartSlaps.
SmartSlaps™ was built by our family, my wife, our two kids Ricky and Ava, and me, to help restore civic ownership, community responsibility, and real support for the services families depend on.
"Why do stores have claw machines that teach kids to gamble and not get anything?"
That question came from my daughter at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas after seeing a little girl crying. Her question led us to think about activities that could help children learn and support their communities.
We wanted to give children something useful to take part in.
What if we taught kids to give instead?
What if instead of teaching children to chase a machine, we taught them to care about their schools, libraries, first responders, and communities?

A program offering free Guardian learning stickers, online activities, and adult-led fundraising for community organizations.
Collectible Stickers
Kids receive fun educational stickers featuring mascots tied to schools, libraries, first responders, and civic heroes.
QR Codes
Each sticker can connect families to learning content, mission pages, and real community support pathways.
Learning Activities
Word searches, anagrams, mascots, safety lessons, and civic education help kids learn while they engage.
Community Giving
Adults can support a school, library, or public-safety mission through the Foundation and follow the available public records.

SmartSlaps™ is built so communities can support what they use and care about. The Foundation retains no portion of recipient-designated gifts; donors cover platform and processing fees shown at checkout. See the monthly distribution schedule and public records.

Ava & Ricky, the spark behind SmartSlaps™
Born in Xiamen, China, Ricky is an animal-loving, high-energy future pilot who loves sharks, bugs, learning, and helping others. He brings leadership, imagination, and a big brother's heart to the mission.
Born in Tucson, Arizona, Ava is the creative spark behind SmartSlaps™. She's sweet, artistic, sharp, and full of heart, with a love for creativity, cuddles, and asking the kind of questions that change everything.
